Japan's first lady claims being abducted by aliens

Japan’s first lady claims being abducted by aliens.

Japan (日本) might have shown immense faith in Prime Minister-elect Yukio Hatoyama (鳩山由紀夫) by bringing the Democratic Party of Japan in power after 54 years of rule by the Liberal Democratic Party, but first lady Miyuki Hatoyama (鳩山幸) is taking that faith to a whole different level as she claims that she had been abducted by aliens.

Amongst other claims that she has made, as reported by UK newspaper The Independent, the 62-year old has also said that she has travelled to the planet Venus. She also claims to have known Tom Cruise in a former incarnation, when he was Japanese, and is now looking forward to making a Hollywood movie with him.

“While my body was asleep, I think my soul rode on a triangular-shaped UFO and went to Venus,” she explains in the book she published last year.

Yukio Hatoyama is known to be a devoted husband to the lady he met when he was still a graduate student at Stanford University and she was married to someone else.

Miyuki is a lifestyle guru, a macrobiotics enthusiast, a performer, cookery books’ author and a retired actress. She was born as Hatoyama Miyuki, in 1943 Shanghai (in China) which was under Japanese occupation during World War II.

Perfecting Imperfection...one day at a time

Hello World!

I am happy to finally put my blog into motion and even happier that you decided to drop by, I hope you enjoy it. Throughout the many posts to come I will talk about all the things that I am trying to do better at and the adventures that come with that. To give you an idea of what you can expect, here are some example topics that I love (in no particular order):

life, marriage, love, family, motherhood, children, traveling, photography, eco-friendly, crafts, DIY, baking, cooking, recipes, dance, music, books, freebies, food storage…and the list goes on!

I decided the best way to organize this site is to organize it just like I would my home. At the top of the page you will find a list of different rooms in my family’s home. In each room you will find posts about  products, my thoughts, recipes and anything else going on in that room this week!

If you have any recommendations of fabulous things I should highlight I would love to know them, just leave me a comment. Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers!

Dandi Discovery !

Only God could take a  despoiled weed and turn it into an oblation!  What most of us consider a nefarious lawn annoyance in reality the dandelion is a multi-talented blessed little plant!  There seems no end to its charity!  The dandelion has a long medicinal history going as far back to the 10th century Arabian physicians leading all the way to the Germans who brought it over to America for its nutritionally rich benefits!

The pollen from the Dandelion provides food for the bees and 93 other insects and small birds!

Dandelion root is widely known for preventing and curing liver disease such as hepatitis and jaundice.  It can lower your cholesterol , reduce acid indigestion, water retention and provides vitamins , B1 , B2, B3, C and E !

Herbal Dandelion Tea can cleanse the digestive track and get rid of toxins in your body!

Dandelion tea is loaded antioxidants which helps reduce the signs of aging!

If you would rather drink wine instead, then you might want to try Dandelion wine!

This photo is dedicated to Timm the photographer ! This is a dandelion vineyard!

Dandelion leaves make a great salad!

How about some Dandelion Salad and Dandelion Wine!

Or Dandelion Vegetable soup!

You might want to try the Sweet Dandelion Jelly on your morning toast!

With that jelly toast , you’re probably gonna need some dandelion coffee!

After breakfast, you’ll definitely want to clean up and try out the …yes you guessed it…Dandelion Moisturizer!

And for you gals, the celebrities swear by this facial blush…called dandelion!

So apparently, the sun really does set….on the Dandelion!

Jamie's American Road Trip

Just watched the first episode of Jamie Oliver’s American Road Trip and I absolutely loved it. Part travelogue, part cooking show, it’s similar to the series he did in Italy a few years ago, but I think this time with a few more actual recipes, as in Jamie actually being in a kitchen and saying add this, then add that, etc etc, which is what I think the Italy series missed a bit.

In today’s episode Jamie was in LA, but skipping straight past the A- list, he was in the Mexican neighbourhoods, looking at their dishes. What surprised Jamie in the episode and what surprised me, was the variety and amount of delicious Mexican salads, I really really want one now!

Oh and one last thing, it’s worth watching alone if just for Jamie’s reaction after eating some cactus fungi . . .

The issue with kitchens....

I must have been missing in action when the genes for cooking were being handed out in our family. Up until I moved out of home, my menu consisted of salads, sandwiches and cous cous.

My signaure dishes include lemon slice and chocolate ripple cake, but of course, neither of these require the use of the oven.

The issue with the kitchen though, is that there are so many things that can go wrong. I mean, what damage can you do in the bathroom? Fall down the toilet? Get your finger stuck in the plughole?

When I moved in with Jenna, I stated up front that the only thing she should let me do in the kitchen is wash the dishes, and even then I should be supervised due to the number of sharp implements (which includes forks!) She didn’t really believe that anyone could be that bad though… until this weekend.

Saturday, while trying to prepare bacon and eggs for Jenna, Darren & myself, the egg carton may have gotten a bit cosy with the open flame on the stove top. Fortunately, the sink was nearby…

Tonight, I opened the oven door to check the chips, and managed to pull it off it’s hinges… Luckily Jenna was home to fix it.

I think she may be watching a little more carefully from now on…
