Just watched the first episode of Jamie Oliver’s American Road Trip and I absolutely loved it. Part travelogue, part cooking show, it’s similar to the series he did in Italy a few years ago, but I think this time with a few more actual recipes, as in Jamie actually being in a kitchen and saying add this, then add that, etc etc, which is what I think the Italy series missed a bit.
In today’s episode Jamie was in LA, but skipping straight past the A- list, he was in the Mexican neighbourhoods, looking at their dishes. What surprised Jamie in the episode and what surprised me, was the variety and amount of delicious Mexican salads, I really really want one now!
Oh and one last thing, it’s worth watching alone if just for Jamie’s reaction after eating some cactus fungi . . .
